Ladies and Gentlemen. Are you ready? To take another trip. From new school to old, from groovin to dancin’, from singin’ to bangin’ your bead, from likin’ to lovin’ good music. Dj Merlin and Blind I are proud to present the latest installment in the Be Advised Series. Dj Merlin’s Be Advised Vol. 2. If you listen closely the songs are inspired by love because it’s something that your heart beats for and that was my inspiration for this edition. Who says talking about love has to always be mushy and in slow songs? Do it Behind The Groove and its a whole nother experience.

Be Advised Volume 2 is twice as long as the previous (more music, more beats:) and has a more eclectic blend of artists thru a wider range of genres, and no matter what you listen to or when you listen to it, this should always fit right in. As always its funky and gets you moving any time of day with new music from the likes of Sy Smith, Peter Hadar and Persia to throw backs from Teena Marie, Me’Shell Ndegeochello and Michael Jackson.

Hi everyone. Hopefully your summer has been filled with lots of partying, dancing and good times. Every now and again, I switch up my monthly mixes to introduce a new series and keep it fresh. Initially when I was brainstorming, I had planned to go all the way in on the old-school house music but as time passed and I started to play more songs, this expanded into a more mellow set of house, dance, electronica and some jazzier picks. I think they blend pretty well together. Plus we have many volumes to play around, right? Hit the skip and partake. xoxo.

Whenever people reference Blind I, or the kind of music we post, especially in our monthly compilations, the word “taste” comes up a lot. Individually and collectively we all have a very specific ear and that’s what draws you in to either hate or love it. Sometimes when I put mine together, I try to switch things up a bit to reach and satisfy different tastes, but this month, it’s just me. I catered to what I wanted to hear. I took my time pairing them together, contemplated and edited accordingly. Sit back, put your feet up and play it loud. (Drake voice) Y-y-y-y-you can thank me now.
