RUBYHORNET PRESENTS CLOSED SESSIONS VOL. 1

Now this is a stellar project. The good homies at RubyHornet, in conjunction with Chicago-based Soundscape Recordings, brought together producers and artists to formulate a great original project. The EP was recorded entirely in Chicago, IL at SoundScape Studios with visiting as well as local artists. Pretty much, when an artist came to Chicago, they brought them to SoundScape, made them comfortable, gave them access to the production catalog and just got out of their way.  The EP features artists such as Bun B, Kidz In The Hall, Emilio Rojas, GLC, Truck North, Big Pooh, Skyzoo, Rhymefest, Chip Tha Ripper, Hollywood Holt, Million $ Mano, U-N-I, Amanda Diva, Tanya Morgan, Curren$y and more.

Yep, heavy hitters. You’re gonna be even more impressed once you indulge. Check out my FAVORITE shit off the project, “Fresh Academy” featuring Kidz In The Hall, Chip The Ripper, Donnis, and Mikkey Halsted.

VIDEO: U-N-I – PULP FICTION PT. 1 (FEAT. FASHAWN)

We haven’t put any U-N-I or Fashawn up on Blind I yet to my knowledge, I guess none of their previous releases really jumped out at me as stirringly different than what was already going on in the game, but the new video for U-N-I’s “Pulp Fiction Part 1” jumped out at me and was quality enough for them to bumrush a post on Blind I. The song itself is cool, something I would definitely rock to, but the visuals give it an even greater impact. Clever directing, crisp delivery, and an overall dope product. Good shit!
