Last Monday, April 11th at 10:43AM, my daughter Ajané arrived into the world. It was the most beautifulest thing in the world without a doubt. Being “on call” for the whole month of March & April kinda put a roadblock in my head as to what ‘theme’ I wanted to execute for Aprils NKD & as I pondered the thoughts I lowkey was already playing the soundtrack & not even knowing it. Playing songs that I felt related to what I was going through or have gone through or what I want to achieve as a man & as a father to my children. About a week before the 15th (sorry for the delay… been busy changing diapers n schitt. pun.) I finally decided to dedicate this months NKD to the babies. The children. The kids! But no… not on some Yo Gabba Gabba or Kids Sing Along schitt… naw… on some grown folks – grown biz – type of musical growth if you will. Whether you are a mother or a father, raising your sons or daughters, this edition goes harder to marauder & slaughter any biologicals that don’t bother. I breaks water! hahaha Naw pho trill tho… I’m on Cloud 9000 & 99! Blind I For The Kids… literally.

Happy Friday! I told shorty, I said “Look shorty. Just download the Blind I Says GO! Double CD off Blind I and you’ll get all the education you need this year”. Truer shit has never been spoken. Yes, I was late on March’s BISG due to a restructuring of our compilation-posting schedule, but don’t worry, I made it up to you guys big time. And YES, I was supposed to post up April’s BISG on Wednesday but I was too busy plotting world domination. Luckily on Thursday I got around to compiling it and Voila! Two BISGs for everybody in one day, one post. March’s BISG hold a bunch of heat from a hip-hop standpoint, with new joints from Diamond District, Jadakiss, Fam-Lay aka Shark City Click, Cudi, Wale, Justin Timberlake, and others. BISG April goes hard. Lately I’ve been listening to a bunch of new artists as well as artists that are just new to me, and April was compiled as a shrine to the new ill shit. New One Chance shit starts it off, and that pretty much sets the tone as most of the joints on this BISG are from artists like Telepopmusik, Thievery Corporation, Metronomy, Justice, Prince, Ge-Ology and the like. Definitely for a more keen listener, but packing much heat like the summer do. I know you’re gonna love it cause I’m still playing all the joints on the tracklisting nonstop. What’s up Blind I faithful? I wanted to drop a special project on you guys that I’ve been working on for the past couple of days for your enjoyment. I looked up one day at my iTunes and realized that alot of my favorite joints were remixes I’d compiled in my years of digging, so logically I decided to make up a dope mix of some of the iller tracks. Little did I know how many dope remixes there were, so I’ve decided to make this a Volume 1 of however many more to come. This one is pretty eclectic, but all of the tracks go pretty hard. I tried to eliminate any of the typical remixes that I feel everyone probably already has, and focus on the more obscure, banging ass joints that you know we at Blind I like to bring.
