Awwwwwwwwwww gyeah sun! I’m getting out my dreams! Okay so we’ve tackled str8 up heat to kick start it all, then Dilla, then Beats, then Love & now S T E R E O L A B ! ! ! This also like my Dilla tribute has been in the making for some time (since 07). My good friends Andrew Baker, Kenny Chen, Dert & myself share a love for Stereolab like no other. A favorite group of influential freshmakers as well from Gilles Peterson to  ?uestlove to J Dilla. Members Tim Gane (guitar/keyboards) , Lætitia Sadier (vocals/keyboards/guitar), & Andy Ramsay (drums) stepped on the scene back in 1990 straight outta London England. They have had many members come & go since then including Mary Hansen (backing vocals/ keyboards/ guitar), who joined the group in 1992, ten years before her accidental death. I had the pleasure of catching them last year for the first time live & it was phenomenal. Like the No Knows Dilla, this one was just as difficult to compile but I think after 4 years of debating on certain tracks to stay on or be taken off I have narrowed it down to (IMO) the best of the best that makes me love this “groop” so much. Heat spanning from across their vast discography, collaborations, live versions, remixes & rarities … yeah… this is the one! I hope you all eNjOy as much as I do.

If a track had to much damn dead space @ the end of a track I took that batch out. If a song was dope as fuck in a mix that I loved I got that schitt up in this piece! You don’t play when it comes to your NKD & therefore I vow to never play either.

Whattup Blind I faithful! I truly apologize for not droppin this on the 15th (the day NKD’s are scheduled to drop) but the truth of the matter is that (in the words of my momz) ‘I am burning the candle @ both ends’ by doing ’4 much’ these daze! But ya know what I say… I’ll rest when I’m dead. So with that being said, let’s get to it! I had 5 songs that I had previously selected a month ago for this months edition. The rest was compiled all damn day today. There were songs I had in mind for this comp but needed a lil help in obtaining so with that I say a SPECIAL JEDI THANK YOU TO: J Peepz, Platurn, Pickster,  Dandiggity, G-Wrex & Goldenchyld. TONIGHT IS MY NIGHT BRO!!!

Tonight I get to put a check in the box of one of the many artists to see perform LIVE! I am crazy geeked today! I havnt felt this excited since I saw Dilla. Tonight I will see one of my favorite bands STEREOLAB!! Only other cats I know to be up on them (yes hetero) is Blind I’s film director Kenny Chen, producer extroidinaire DERT & the homie Drubacca The Mic Stalka, for those who are up on em, then u feel my excitement, for those who aint and are like SO FUCKING WHAT… well i provided a video (my fave of theirs) and a song (my fave of theres as well) as well as the cut Common & Dilla did with them.
