In celebration of the birthday of Michael Jackson , I decided to repost this .. don’t sleep!!
Our Peoples over at illvibe are always keeping it fresh. Dj lil’ Dave is really putting it down with the BEST MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE MIX HANDS DOWN…Yeah i said it! I’ve heard a lot of MJ mixes and i like “Another part of MJ: Michael Jackson Remakes, Remixes & Re-Edits ” the most. What’s fresh about it is that instead of playing all the obvious classics we all know and love, he pulled together all the remixes, remakes, re-redits, b-sides, and demos he could find. The result is a mix of hiphop, reggae, house, samba, boogie, and of course some soul.

I was juiced in search of the track listing to find out there was another mix he put out in the anniversary of the Late Great King!

So many impressive hip hop projects have been released this year, but I’ve been secretly hoping more R&B would arrive in my inbox. Then St. Louis native, Coultrain, aka. Seymour Liberty answered my call with the EP GodMustBeABoogieMan. It’s Coultrain at his finest; soulful voice echoing through the speakers, making each track feel like a summer lullaby.  He collaborated with Black Spade, Teeko, J1 and others. Wow the folks over at the Facebook offices got a special delivery from  from  Mr. West.  Kanye, clad in a suit and seemingly excited, spouted off  tracks from his highly anticipated album, Good Ass Job. When we got word of the rumored tracklist, many of us were curious about” Chain Heavy,” featuring Eminem and Jay-Z. From listening to the lyrics a Capella, he spits some bars from the this song in the first clip. He also previews “Lost in The World” and “Mama’s Boyfriend.” Heat!

If you look a the title or the tracks for this mixtape, it’s hard to uncover what in the hell it says. But, this is the third installment of this series for Philadelphia-based producer Knxwledge. Prior to spotting this over at MOOVMNT I was unfamiliar with him. But this 22-track eclectic,  jazzy, yet soulful set  intrigued me so much that I purchased it.  The arrangements  are dope.
