Our dear friends Anna and Dane of Sonnymoon just dropped this remix of Flying Lotus’ Zodiac Shift from the Cosmogramma album. They’re currently working on their new album via Plug Research and Blind I has plans to include them in our Blind I Boutique Series. Details to come. For now, check out the remix.

BLIND I SAYS GO! JUNE 2011

Blind I faithful, I almost didn’t do it. I looked at the new music that the world had to offer, at our submissions, and I just didn’t feel like what was presented was strong enough to make it to GO! You know me, them ordinary things don’t move me. I need some shit straight out the movies, word to Mighty Mos. So, being the critical mind that I am, I scoured my music database for what felt right, refreshing, and in taste with my current mood of happiness, hard work, and the chase of perfection. SONNYMOON SIGNS WITH PLUG RESEARCH

Congratulations to our good friends Dane & Anna, better known as Sonnymoon, for  signing to one of todays leading labels in future sound; Plug Research! Plug Research is home to artists such as Bilal, Exile, Flying Lotus, Om’Mas Keith & Shafiq Husayn of Sa-Ra Creative Partners & Quadron just to name a few. Since late 2009, it has been a roller coaster ride  for them as they have made a noise louder than bombs with their free debut album they asked us to drop on Christmas, to performing @ SXSW, to getting remixed by Melo-X, to J*Davey twitting their appreciation for witnessing the “whiter & trippier version” of them, to now signing with a label that pushes the envelope on creativity and delivers each artists vision with quality. We here @ Blind I are proud of our folks! Congrats & Jedi Respecognition & LET’S GOOOOOO!!!

BLIND I/PST EVENT: SUMMER SOUL SERIES W/ SONNYMOON

As a part of our Blind I Summer Soul Series, we’ve teamed up with Pacific Standard Time, DJ Sake One, Fran Boogie and  DJ Sloepoke to not only welcome Sonnymoon to the Bay Area for an incredible show, but to also  celebrate our very own Noahdeeakili’s birthday!
