Shepard Fairey FTW. The founder of Obey has created a series of commemorative posters to highlight MJ’s induction into the Hall of Fame. I definitely need to check out the rest of the series and grab on of these. Dope!
DOING IT FOR DILLA + L.A. SUITE FOR MA DUKES
I was running around and forgot to put this up yesterday. Shepard Fairey of Obey/Obama Poster fame and artist B+ collaborated to create this special print of Dilla Dog in efforts to raise money for Ma Dukes. The print, of which only 400 were made, releases today and is going for $55. It’s 18 in x 24 in and can be picked up at Obey’s site. In conjunction with the poster, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and Carlos Nino are hosting “A Suite For Ma Dukes” with special guests House Shoes & J Rocc in L.A. on Sunday. Details for that event are also on the Obey site. As a preview they released footage of a jam session in preparation:
