Hey! Once again, it’s that time for my monthly compilation. After we lost Michael Jackson, I pulled out a lot of old soul music to stroll down memory lane a bit.   I’m an 80′s baby but this music was consistently BLARING throughout the house when I was a kid. It feels like home when I listen. I’ve also been feeling inspired by the summertime and the inner-city beauty in my Harlem backyard. You will recognize some of these because  the classics always get sampled, but I picked some low-key ones too. I definitely spent more time putting this together than I normally do so let me know if the music moves you the way it moves me. XO

Blind I Faithful! We acquire more and MORE of you each month, and we love sharing our compilations with you. There is so  much fun in it. BLIND I SAYS GO! FEBRUARY 2009 | $’ BIRTHDAY EDITION

2008 was a great year for the kid. Blind I did it’s thing, I learned a lot from both good and fucking horrible situations, and I came out on the other side of the fire battle-tested and ready to step into 2009 with a new outlook and a specific set of skills….skills that make people like me a nightmare for people like you! Shouts to Liam Neeson. Anyway, I stepped up my game and found that it’s only appropriate, since I turn 23 today, to put together this month’s Blind I Says Go! compilation with 23 of the most tranquilizing joints I could fit onto one mix to help me focus! Yes, I did this one with a purely selfish intent, but honestly it ended up being one of the best compilations I’ve ever done.  Sometimes you have to ditch the “new & hot” inclusions in order to maintain the ambiance of a mix.
