I’m a huge fan of Ruby Hornet’s Closed Sessions undertaking. I’ve spoken with my homies Virgil, Omar, and RTC over at the RH camp on multiple occasions about their foresight to create such a great idea and execute it with professionalism. I think it’s something we’ll start to see copied more and more as the years pass, but they’ve truly started the ball rolling. Long story short, Closed Sessions Austin was spawned from the original project done at Chicago’s Soundscape Studios, only this time it was during the SXSW week, thus putting a strenuous time limit on completing the recording for the project that hadn’t previously existed when Vol. 1 was created. The adventure, seemingly well-documented and laden with names you’ll know & love, is sure to be an interesting view. This is just the trailer though.
