We was up in the Cukui Clothing Store this past Friday as we seen The King Of The Town himself, Rey Resurreccion put it down for the city of San Jose & the culture of Hip Hop. Cukui & Rey have teamed up once again to bring the sequel to the smash Old Rust, New Bang & on Friday gave fans a chance to take home a comemerative Rey Res/Cukui box which included the album, a shirt , some buttons & stickers….and they sold that schitt out son! The album is filled with bangers & even has some beats from some (da da tssh) Rey handles the majority of the production on this one & his raspy vocals carry smooth over 808′s & dropouts. The doode makes schitt for you to ride to, cuz everytime I hear it I wanna get in the load, roll down the windows, put one in the air & stunt. This is how you follow up some schitt right here!

Our BLIND I brother Noah Dee Akili’s group Sub Ren recently collaborated with fellow West Coaster Rey Resurreccion for their new song, “Shut It Down.”  The beat gives you that old-school vintage vibe and it will definitely be a feel-good track for the summer. Sub Ren is currently working on their album E.P.I.C. which will be released in a few months, while working on an EP with Square Weezy from The Bangerz. We will definitely keep you in the loop as the freshness continues. Get familiar.

Implosive/Explosive. The minute I heard this, I jokingly said, “Okay Noah, The Creator” referencing the dark undertones and voice distortion in the song. Since we’re always on the same page, he had to laugh at the irony of my comment  since his Sub Ren track, “76th Annual Masquerade Massacre” is right behind “Yonkers” on the radio in the Bay Area. Super gifted & humble Rey Resurreccion is gearing up for his new album that he has created for the lowkey juggernauts in the game right now, CLOUT. It is appropriately titled “Sleeping Giants” for the fact that here in San Jose, everyone is resickulously super dope @ something, but the light doesn’t get much shine around these parts, so we create our own shine. The first single off the album features a dope lil’ Spanish sample that The Bangerz own Cutso flipped into a even doper anthem, entitled “The Hometown“. & what better day than today to post this in honor of California/The Bay’s return to the World Series tonight. I for one am being very unbiased in this post cuz I am a Dodger fan, but I respecognize Cal all day, & this song should be played ALL DAY regardless if you from here or not, you can relate to fresh!
