BLIND I SAYS GO! APRIL 2011

Upgrades Upgrades Upgrades! They say if you want something done, do it yourself. I’ve wanted to format the Blind I Says GO! experience into a mixed format for awhile, and with a little help from Serato ScratchLive I was able to make my dream a reality! I’m one of those see-it-once-and-I-can-do-it type people, what can I say. So I decided to go the extra mile this month for GO! and put together TWO variations: one mixed hour-long session that you can press play on and let rock all the way through for your parties, gatherings, etc…..and a traditional Blind I comp with all the tracks ready for your enjoyment upon deployment. Tabi Bonney (or Tabi Bonackle as brother NO calls him) has been doing his “thug dizzle” lately. This time he drops an exclusive via FADER that features the new G.O.O.D. recruit Pusha T entitled ‘Make A Killin‘. The beat and the vibe are dope. Cool to see these two artists getting it in. FOOTAGE: KANYE WEST PERFORMS “POWER” + “RUNAWAY” LIVE ON SNL

Kanye West is taking this rap shit to another level. Purists hate it and do their best to make it known, but the artists who represent this brand can do nothing but find inspiration from daring and refreshing performances like the one Kanye put on last night on Saturday Night Live. Let’s keep in mind all the stuff that happened previously between Ye + SNL, then think about the attention to detail put into making a regular TV performance look like the actual Power video (how ill was the reveal concept for the dancers & the symmetry?) Add that to the fact that Pusha T was on SNL (Clipse fans share in my excitement), and Ye even dropped a new verse for Power to replace the one he had treating the hell out of the staff. All in all, it’s what a performance should be, and I GUARANTEE you everybody will be following his lead with these TV performance from now on. No one man should have all that Power…
