PHOTOS: THE BIG PICTURE – DUBAI
Boston.com, the same site that had the photo collage of Obama’s campaign and plenty other dope ones, has done a feature on Dubai, pretty much the illest & most expensive place in the world. Recession-proof! Feel free to check out some of the pics here.
ONE WORD…AMAZING.
Photographer Callie Shell was given the opportunity to photograph Barack Obama through his campaign for President. Her pictures are by far the best that I’ve seen of Obama and also give much more life to his campaign and the movement than what you may see in video. It’s amazing that photographs have so much power. The picture above is of Obama in a stairway listening to his introduction at the third rally/speech of that day. RINZE VAN BRUG-HOUMAN JEWELRY
Artist Rinze Van Brug’s Houman Jewelry project initially caught my eye because it reminded me of that classic black and white picture, which I believe was of Alek Wek, mounted on the wall in Belly. His photography is largely inspired by his musical influences as well as street scenes and cityscapes.

If you, like me, don’t really have time to make one you can at least browse the gallery of interesting designs.

Beijing artist Liu Bolin recently finished up a show at Eli Klein Fine Art in New York showcasing his “Camoflauge” series of pictures, using Chinese citizens and painting them to blend into their backgrounds. Some pretty cool images. More pictures after the jump.
