YUNA – LIVE YOUR LIFE (PRODUCED BY PHARRELL)

My new obsession. Yuna is signed to FADER’s label, and she’s a 25 year old Malaysian Muslim with influences including No Doubt, The Cranberries and Fiona Apple, amongst others. Her previous works (namely last year’s Decorate EP), which I’ve been jamming too religiously, are reminiscent of a bit of Feist, but honestly I feel like her songwriting & voice are much better. Yeah, it’s like THAT. Check out a Soundcloud stream of her new Pharrell-produced joint ‘Live Your Life‘, and then grab it on iTunes like I did. Can’t wait until the world knows Yuna!

Alright here is another #latepass guys! Tyler, The Creator put this summertime mix together and tweeted about it. I already knew it would be filled with N.E.R.D., since he’s a self-proclaimed stan, and I was right. But there’s also hella other goodness  (see: Toro y Moi, Grizzly Bear, James Pants, Stevie Wonder) on here that definitely sounds and feels like summertime. I’ve wanted to format the Blind I Says GO! experience into a mixed format for awhile, and with a little help from Serato ScratchLive I was able to make my dream a reality! I’m one of those see-it-once-and-I-can-do-it type people, what can I say. Just think about this: Kid Cudi, Pusha T, John Legend, Lloyd Banks, Ryan Leslie, RZA, Kay-Z, CyHi The Prince, Mos Def, Swizz Beatz, Raekwon, Charlie Wilson, Common, Big Sean, Justin Bieber, Bon Iver, Nikki Minaj, and Rick Ross have ALL made appearances on these free releases, and to up the ante we have a brand new CRS track (Kanye, Pharrell, and Lupe Fiasco) to surely make everyone go crazy if they haven’t already. Plus this beat is insane. You know what to do, partake!
