Outkast’s Aquemini album was a true classic. You could put it on and let the entire thing play without a hitch. This CL Atlanta story has each participant in the project weigh in and reflect on the creative process. The behind-the-scenes perspective is ill. It’s like taking the liner notes and digging deeper. Slow down homie. It’s not an Outkast joint per say, but we all know any Big Boi x Dre 3K song is as good as gold. This track was SUPPOSED to be on Big Boi‘s new album ‘The Son Of Chico Dusty‘, but Jive was supposedly on the bullsh*t and wouldn’t let Andre 3000 on the album. Trés lame. God bless the internet however, and the good folks at Rap Radar for the leak. Great music! Indulge!

MAIYA PRESENTS…ORGANIZED CONFUSION
Hi Everyone. What can I say–it’s been quite a month. For starters, Blind I celebrated our first SXSW showcase (Check out the pictures here) and it was incredible to be in the presence of musical greatness. It has been a whirlwind for me personally these past few weeks, dealing with moments of jubilation and euphoria to death, grief and setbacks. Music has been my window seat. This compilation was due Monday but I needed to gather my thoughts and get the sound right. It starts out mellow and soothing and ends a bit more chaotic–just how it’s sounded in my head. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and it seems to be my turn to do a compilation each year around this time. Normally I do a very warm fuzzy mix with love songs and hearts galore. But this year, I told Noah to go for an edgier cover and he killed it! I wanted to include songs that were open to interpretation (i.e. Badu- “Window Seat”) because the holiday means something different to everyone depending on their circumstance. So sit back, let it play, and reflect.
