THE BEAST & NNENNA FREELON PRESENT… THE FREEDOM SUITE

I hope you all will grant me a supreme late pass on this one. But, I wanted to do my due diligence and post The Freedom Suite, hosted by 9th Wonder with guest appearances by Phonte, Yazarah, Geechi Suede and others. A little bit about the project: Jazz vocalist and multi Grammy nominee Nnenna Freelon joins hip-hop quartet The Beast to release Freedom Suite: a 10-track collection of creative reflections on jazz and hip-hop.

OKAYPLAYER CONCERT-NEW YORK CITY

Okayplayer is hosting their annual Holiday Jammy Tuesday December 15th at BB Kings in Time Square. The show will feature The Roots and special guests, a special OkayAFrica set with Bajah + the Dry Eye Crew, plus DJ Brainchild on the 1s and 2s.

NOISETTES X KANYE WEST=WILD YOUNG HEARTBREAKS

Fans of the British rock trio,  Noisettes and Kanye West have a new-mash up to add to their collections, courtesy of Mick Boogie, Terry Urban and Okayplayer.

The mix contains acapellas from Wild Young Hearts and reconfigured beats and samples from Mr. West’s 808s and Heartbreak.

Theo’s pretty decent out here.
