VIDEO: DRUMS & AMMO – SPEAK UP

Drums & Ammo is a four-man production team featuring Ammbush, 6Fingers, REL & Al Jieh. Collectively, they have worked with the likes of Raphael Saadiq, Messy Marv, Bambu, DaVinci, Keak Da Sneak, Mistah FAB, The Jacka, Del the Funky Homosapien, Exile, and many more. Their diversity in experience and range in sound – from spacey to soulful psychedelic – allow their music to be so much more than just Hip Hop. Drums & Ammo will be putting their sound on full display, releasing a debut album of their instrumental work, Vol. 1, for free on April 14, 2011.

FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIP PERFORMING “INNERCITY GRIOTS” TONIGHT [SF]

I’ve told you all countless times how important Freestyle Fellowship is to the development of our hip hop culture & tonight you have a chance to see why. Innercity Griots was the groups 2nd album released on 4th & B’way back in 1993. Their catalog as a whole & individuals runs deeper than Atlantis, but it was THIS album that changed it all & they will be performing this album in it’s entirety followed by their other classic material. I grew up on this album & it changed my life as a aficionado, student & aspiring rapper. I think I turned out okay . It all goes down tonight @ the historic 330 Ritch in beautiful San Francisco! Whattup Blind I faithful!
