THE TRICKAZ – ICONOCLAST SOUND ADVENTURE

I was introduced to The Trickaz (Pho & DJ iRaize) ala my friend Jase (who DJs Reggae/Dubstep/Drum&Bass) out in Saigon. I didn’t know what to expect from these Vietnamese cats from France but I’m glad I didn’t come with any expectations. Dudes seriously KILL it on the MPCs and turntables!

If you don’t believe me check out the clips after the drop. Here’s an album they made free to the public, mostly original works and remixes from 2005. With winning numerous contests under their belts and joining the Quiksilver team ($$$) the future looks damn good for these French boys. Holla at a fellow ‘Nammer!

EDISON – MUSIC MADE WITH BUTTONS 2.0 – LIVE ON THE MONOME

Man these monome things still boggle my mind. I understand the instrument itself – however, how can you remember what’s on each button? Shit, I can barely remember whats on the 16 pads of the MPC! Edison makes it look incredibly easy, as this video was made in one take with the audio fed directly into the camera. Quite amazing. Edison was recently signed to Egadz’ Kid Without Radio Record Label, and has a new album coming out on December 22nd.
