When I heard about the passing of the legendary Gil Scott-Heron, I decided that it was time  for another installment of my old-school Innervisions compilations. I grew up in a musical house with a father who collects records. As a kid and even now, the minute you walk into my parents’ house you will be greeted with a stereo blasting the classics. I have a fond appreciation for all of it. Here are some songs that put me in a nostalgic space mixed with some newer music that complements it well. I’m kind of in l-o-v-e with this playlist. Enjoy.

LABEL LOVE VOL. 2

Here we are with the second round of Label Love, which includes material from artists signed to Tru Thoughts, Plug Research, Ubiquity, Ninja Tune. and others. Vol.1 had a bit more of a jazzy vibe but this installment is smooth, but more upbeat. And this one is extra special because  it features our  friends Sonnymoon who recently signed to Plug Research.

MISSOMNIMEDIA-CHILL OUT MIX

The lovely folks at Missomnimedia sent me this Chill Out playlist which has a similar feel to my Rendezvous compilations. I played it this morning and there are some great instrumentals, remixes and  smooth tracks on here. I’m LOVING  it.
