I can’t believe I have done 13 of these compilations already! 13 is actually my lucky number, so it makes sense that this one is one of my favorites among the recent volumes I’ve put together.  Let’s get lucky together. MAIYA PRESENTS…RENDEZVOUS VOL. 10

We’re back with the tenth edition of Rendezvous. I feel like these will go up to Vol. 50 if you’re down for the ride. Last month’s RDV9 got tons of feedback and since these are my favorite mixes to do, I wanted to keep the groove going. I saw this photo on a Tumblr and for some reason it resonated with me. Photos, like art, can be interpreted in so many ways. There is a man rubbing a woman’s face and it looks like he is either coming or going, and she’s either sad or satisfied. The music in this compilation is sexy, but it has a moody element to it that reflects a sense of longing. Hey hey! Since last month’s go round, summer has officially started and I’m feeling great. The weather is warmer, opportunities are blooming and we all have a lot to look forward to. I’m a city girl (NYC to exact) and for the first volume, I included songs with  good energy that reminded me of the pulse the metropolis exudes. This version is a little smoother, but somehow it puts me in the mindset of all the lights and the action. Making these is really abstract process, so it’s better to let you play it than explain it.
