I been sleeping on posting anything about my man Kero, especially since he just dropped this 3rd album Kinetic World late last month. And boy, is it good. What’s also good is this video. How pimp is it to go shopping in an Asian market and run into some fine ladies, while rapping about marriage? Very pimp. And Kero actually got married a few days ago. Holla! Sam Ock also does a fine job on the breakdowns. Have fun on the European tour homie, you deserve all this.

KERO ONE – EARLY BELIEVERS

Deemed one of the most hands-on DIY artists to come along in a while, especially in hip hop, Bay-Area-based Kero-One handled not only the creative process for this album but also the logistics too; promotions, marketing, manufacturing, finances, art direction, and web design. He was awarded the title of Best Hip Hop Album of 2006 from Leemix magazine, and topped iTunes charts for his first album, Windmills of the Soul, which became a hit in Japan almost by accident. The aptly titled upcoming release, Early Believers features some of Kero’s favorite vocalists such as Giles Peterson protégé singer Ben Westbeech, Finland’s Tuomo, and Portland’s own Ohmega Watts. This soulful, jazzy release is the second release for Kero and the third release from his imprint record label, Plug Label, the other being an LP from The Tones.
