A few days ago I tweeted a question asking about the whereabouts of this particular video and on my way home from this afternoon someone responded to that tweet with a link to this video, indicating that it just dropped today. Well I’ll be. This is internet. Do yourself a favor and cop up on Section.80 if you haven’t done so already.

P.S. yes. I know I spelled rigamortis wrong….that’s how it was spelled on the album…but I’m still ashamed ( ._.)

I’m so proud of Modi from DCtoBC for putting together this fantastic lineup and facilitating Kendrick Lamar’s first DC performance debut. The #DontWuwwyDC compilation gives you a glimpse into the artists involved in the show: Phil Ade, Schoolboy Q, Ashton Travis and Phil Da Phuture. In his own words:

August 12, 2011 can be seen as a historic day in DC as far as hip-hop is concerned. Before we booked this concert, the 9:30 Club (voted one of the top venues in the nation by Billboard Magazine a couple weeks ago) had no hip-hop concerts until like November. The spot is 1200 people, and honestly, most hip-hop shows these days can’t pack a venue that size unless it’s a mainstream superstar or it’s free. We’re trying to break that mold, starting with this #DontWuwwyDC show.
