Alright here is another #latepass guys! Tyler, The Creator put this summertime mix together and tweeted about it. I already knew it would be filled with N.E.R.D., since he’s a self-proclaimed stan, and I was right. But there’s also hella other goodness  (see: Toro y Moi, Grizzly Bear, James Pants, Stevie Wonder) on here that definitely sounds and feels like summertime. VIDEO: JILL SCOTT – SHAME

Check out ESSENCE Music Festival headliner Jill Scott’s funky new video for “Shame,” the lead single from her forthcoming album, “Light of the Sun.” The video was shot in the Philadelphia neighborhood where Jill grew up. The location of the shoot is the Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center, where Jill spent her summers as a kid. When she heard the rec center was closing, Jill and her Blues Babe foundation paid for repairs on the center to keep it open.

The video features some old friends making cameos, such as Eve, who is featured on the track, and Black Thought from The Roots. If you love Jill like we love Jill, you’re going to eat this up!

“Light of the Sun” hits stores on June 28th.

JILL SCOTT: SHAME

After a long hiatus, everyone’s favorite soul sista is coming back at it with a vengeance.  The Light of the Sun — her first album under her recently announced distribution deal with Warner Bros. is due early summer. Its first single is “Shame” featuring Eve, which surfaced online today. Check out the track above.

NO KNOWS DOPE | AUGUST 20X

Okay so, thus far we have had NKD’s on some str8 up heat to kick start it all, then Dilla, then Beats, then Love , then Stereolab, then Portishead, then we had last months double NKD for Stevie & for this month I had to go with my man Busa Busss!! So many people sleep on Busta Rhymes! I never see him any ANNNNNNNNNNNYBODYS top 10 or top 20 for that matter. I had to dead that by doing a No Knows Busta. 60 pinche tracks! & even THAT was narrowed down. These are just my all time favorite Busta songs of all time. The others will be saved for a sequel somewhere down the road, but for now I think these will suffice. If you’ve always thought like me… then this is FOR YOU! If you sittin’ there reading this like… “really No? Busta?” then stick yo’self Pretty Tony & hit the jump to DL like yesterday!! (my bad for the 1 day delay)
