Late last year Blind I put action behind a dream which was to do an album with a handful of artists that we love. This was even before we went out to SXSW & did our Quality showcase. Our motto has always been “Quality Over Quantity,” & we take that very seriously around these parts. You can tell from each staff member’s individual comps to the posts we make. You can go to many sites & see the same thing. You come here & see something different. You have respecognized this since we stepped onto the scene 4 years ago and have become our beloved “faithful.” We appreciate you all. In honor of you all & for those who don’t know about the Blind I movement, we offer you Quality>Quantity The Album. An Experiment in Instrumentation is definitely one of the stand outs among the beat tapes in my opinion. There is not many words to describe the tape. There is also no lane it can be categorized in. Its a step in a new direction. A step of growth in my production. And most importantly, it’s new material for my people. Enjoy, & all feedback is appreciated.

We’re talking Theo Martins, Vandalyzm, Classy Hand Favours, TiRon, Project Mayhem, The Paxtons, KJ, Mic Terror, Black Spade, Sonnymoon, Brittany Street, Bad Rabbits, Phil Adé, Xavier Pryce, Kinky Notti, Tabi Bonney, Brittany Bosco, Proh Mic, YP, Big Homie Doe, Rockwell Knuckles, House Shoes, BBU, Coultrain, L.e. for the Uncool, Pugs Atomz, Cubic Zirconia, Ro Spit, and some special surprises! Our good friend House Shoes & his wifey Mama Leo are the new parents of James Deshaun born on this day of February 26th 2009! The lil loc’s name was an obvious choice for Shoes, James (James Dewitt “Jay Dee/J Dilla” Yancey) & Deshaun (Deshaun Dupree “Proof” Holton) both being family of the Shoes household. Life is a beautiful thing! Feel free to throw em some diapers their way!
