After a couple pre-album goodies,Declaime is back with another leak off his album, FONK, in celebration of today’s release date.“Declaime MC,” his latest track, stays true to the artist’s eclectic style starting with a sporadic and bizarre intro, ironically featuring cowbell, and finally leading to all pieces falling together as Declaime enters, “Now let me reintroduce myself to the game / What’s your name? Declaime / It’s all the same, same, can’t complain / Still the same old dude / Still no fortune, still no fame.”

Last week or so we dropped the Jneiro Jarel’s remix of Verocai’s Balada 45 , as well as the footage from the Timeless DVD set which featured “Untitled/Fantastic”, & today we bring you Georgia Anne Muldrow’s remix of Miguel Atwood-Ferguson’s 60 piece orchestrated masterpiece. I speak for the homies House Shoes, Dwele G & myself that this segment in the film is most touching to all of us Dilla elitists. GEORGIA ANNE MULDROW X DECLAIME – GET UP (+ ODDISSEE GO-GO REMIX)

Soulful songstress Georgia Anne Muldrow and Declaime aka Dudley Perkins snap on a new joint entitled “Get Up” to celebrate the vinyl-only release of their album precursor EP, Heaven Or Hell. It features contributions from Prince Po, yU, and German DMC Supremacy champion DJ Clear. Over the track’s brooding, resonating piano, horn stabs, and wobbling bass line, Declaime, with his unorthodox, winding rhyme patterns, is the track’s clear standout. The too-oft overlooked wordsmith uses the equally unorthodox instrumental to offer challenger MC’s a warning, rapping, “Pound for pound, standing ground with any fool who wanna get down / You get drowned, you get burnt / Haven’t you learnt yet, I’m a war vet.”
