The now-Grammy-nominated Foreign Exchange family performed Daykeeper at the Roots Jam over the weekend in L.A….it sucks that they didn’t win the Grammy but at least they swept every category they were nominated in here at Blind I! We salute you!

2009 BLIND I AWARD WINNERS!
Thank you all for participating in the voting for the 2009 Blind I year-end awards! It was fun to come up with the categories and see nominated artists push their campaigns quite heavily through their own outlets. We had a bunch of nominees on long lists when we started this process, and as we dwindled them all down to the best we knew we had something dope on our hands. This has to be my favorite song off the album (though EVERYTHING on that album is gold).
Gonna find me a dime and just groove. Also the addition of “Valediction” at the end was real nice.

BLIND I SAYS GO! FEBRUARY 2009 | $’ BIRTHDAY EDITION
2008 was a great year for the kid. Blind I did it’s thing, I learned a lot from both good and fucking horrible situations, and I came out on the other side of the fire battle-tested and ready to step into 2009 with a new outlook and a specific set of skills….skills that make people like me a nightmare for people like you! Shouts to Liam Neeson. Anyway, I stepped up my game and found that it’s only appropriate, since I turn 23 today, to put together this month’s Blind I Says Go! compilation with 23 of the most tranquilizing joints I could fit onto one mix to help me focus! Yes, I did this one with a purely selfish intent, but honestly it ended up being one of the best compilations I’ve ever done. Sometimes you have to ditch the “new & hot” inclusions in order to maintain the ambiance of a mix. Where else do you get attention to detail like that? If you enjoyed the Backstroke Series or $ Is Feeling Some Kinda Way, this one might top em all. Tracklisting after the jump….Partake!
