I have no idea.  Anyways, this one goes out to all the purists of sound & the respecognition of listening to an album from beginning to end. If a track had to much damn dead space @ the end of a track I took that batch out. If a song was dope as fuck in a mix that I loved I got that schitt up in this piece! You don’t play when it comes to your NKD & therefore I vow to never play either.

Finale was an auto engineer who worked for the Big 3 in Detroit and decided to throw himself full-fledged into the rap scene after J Dilla co-signed him at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.  His official debut album entitled A Pipe Dream And A Promise features production from a handful of great producers including Dilla, Black Milk, Nottz, Oddisee, Flying Lotus, Waajeed, and only 1 guest emcee, Invincible.   A Pipe Dream And A Promise will be released on April 7th via Interdependent Media. MY FAVORITE ALBUM THIS WEEK!

I say “this week” because lately allot of good schitt has been coming my way, but nothing like THIS WEEK! But I already spoke on Dert’s Talk Strange & he told me to stop playing it out (which is a bad habit of mine once I hear something I truly love), House Shoes’ King James Version is just fuckin insane, filled with all the great originals to Dillas most memorable (Dilla Elitists will feel this) productions, & I  just posted about Pickster’s LIVE in Paris… so since we on that Paris tip, lemme speak on this Dela kid from Paris France. I aint gonna lie, Vol.1 flew under my radar, but Vol.2? DAMN!! This schitt is fuckin beautiful! I aint felt this good about a complete hip hop album/mix/comp whatever you wanna call it , since Gemineye’s Crown Jules Mixtape.

Dela (not to be confused with De La Soul)delivers with this one! Very smooth & right up my alley (no Cubicle Gooding Jr.)!
