My homie DJ EkoGirl made a nice mix of soulful goodness that y’all need to DL. In her own words…

Soulife is the nuSoul sound i’m most well-known for at a residency called Kiss.

?some well-known heavy hitters in there with new tracks: alicia, sade

?some really fly remixes: stardust, erykah+bisope, bugz

?some super amazing new music from: electric wire hustle, fat freddy’s drop

?and then a lot of unfamiliar staples that have been in my soul crates for a few years to round it out.

it definitely could use some woofer-love for the low end on the dubstep at the front.

Blind I faithful & good friend DJ EKO or “ekogirl” has blessed us all with a new mix perfect for the weather that is warming up too damn soon (is it just me or does it feel like summer is already here?)! For those unaware, DJ Eko is a staple in our culture. She has had a successful show on KZSC Santa Cruz for over 12 years (in that time, became the stations Hip Hop Director), wrote reviews for Urb Magazine, worked with record label, Nu Gruv Alliance (working with Peanut Butter Wolf, StonesThrow, Quannum, Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, J5 & Zion I) & even had a show on KCSB while she was transplanted in L.A. for a quick minute. Today you can still tune in to KZSC when u are in the bay to peep her wonderful show or catch her rockin the 1′s & 2′s LIVE @ all the various hot spots!

So back to this mix! In her own words, Electro Yum Turbo! is:
