VIDEO: DRUMS & AMMO – SPEAK UP

Drums & Ammo is a four-man production team featuring Ammbush, 6Fingers, REL & Al Jieh. Collectively, they have worked with the likes of Raphael Saadiq, Messy Marv, Bambu, DaVinci, Keak Da Sneak, Mistah FAB, The Jacka, Del the Funky Homosapien, Exile, and many more. Their diversity in experience and range in sound – from spacey to soulful psychedelic – allow their music to be so much more than just Hip Hop. Drums & Ammo will be putting their sound on full display, releasing a debut album of their instrumental work, Vol. 1, for free on April 14, 2011.

This year marks the 5th anniversary of my No Knows Dope series (HOLY MEGABYTES BATMAN THE FIF’ YEAR!)… blessed! Thank you all for your continuous support of the NKD franchise as well as all the other $tunta$tic original compilations that the rest of the Blind I staff offers. Last years NKD concept was fun being able to do each month dedicated to one of my all time favorite artists or themes. This years method to the NKD madness is simple. Genres & sub-genres (according to me that is) all mixed & glitched by my good friend/brother & DJ W1shOne. Today we celebrate the birth and amazing career of the G.O.A.T. Jay Dee (J Dilla) born James Dewitt Yancey. Every year I have been making these posts & it still is crazy to me, but let’s not even go there… instead let’s all celebrate the life & musical career of a musical legend that many of were blessed to watch & listen to his growth. He changed the game with his many styles & approach. He made everyone around him work much harder because of his dedication to the basement. He will forever hold a special place in all our hearts & ears as well as history.
