DJ BENZI & DIPLO PRESENT: MANSIONS ON THE MOON – PARADISE FALLS

DJ Benzi and DJ/Producer Diplo link up for this remix project featuring a pretty heavy cast. I ain’t gonna lie man I’m 50 Tyson I don’t know too much about Mansions on the Moon myself, but I sure am intrigued by the line-up and what I’ve heard before. Here’s a blurb off their website, which you can visit yourself here.

“Mansions on the Moon is the latest project from Lane Shaw and Ben Hazlegrove (of Pnuma Trio) along with singer/songwriter, Ted Wendler. The group formed a little over a year ago, developing their signature sound at studios in Atlanta and Virginia Beach and have since collaborated with N*E*R*D, Diplo, DJ Benzi and Chiddy Bang’s Xaphoon Jones.

Paradise Falls , presented by Diplo and DJ Benzi illustrates the wide range of Mansions on the Moon’s musical capabilities. The band is currently in Los Angeles recording their debut album with tour dates to be announced in the early part of 2011″

Just when you thought music couldn’t get any more random. El-P collaborates with Adult Swim on a remix of Young Jeezy’s “I Got This“, while Diplo decides to flip Gucci Mane’s “Dangers Not A Stranger“. If at least for the sake of saying you heard em, you gotta indulge in these.

Back when your boy was still in school, September was the time to start gearing up for long nights and plenty of reading, running back & forth around this wonderful city of Chicago, and bundling up for the crisp autumn air with a good playlist on my iPod. DJ EKO – ELECTRO YUM TURBO!

Blind I faithful & good friend DJ EKO or “ekogirl” has blessed us all with a new mix perfect for the weather that is warming up too damn soon (is it just me or does it feel like summer is already here?)! For those unaware, DJ Eko is a staple in our culture. She has had a successful show on KZSC Santa Cruz for over 12 years (in that time, became the stations Hip Hop Director), wrote reviews for Urb Magazine, worked with record label, Nu Gruv Alliance (working with Peanut Butter Wolf, StonesThrow, Quannum, Aceyalone, Abstract Rude, J5 & Zion I) & even had a show on KCSB while she was transplanted in L.A. for a quick minute. Today you can still tune in to KZSC when u are in the bay to peep her wonderful show or catch her rockin the 1′s & 2′s LIVE @ all the various hot spots!
