CHIP THA RIPPER – FROM ME TO YOU

Chip Tha Ripper is one of my favorite new rappers out. Cats like him, Big K.R.I.T., Dom Kennedy, all know how to use their vocal inflections perfectly over the beats that they choose, and we all win because of it. Chip decided to drop “From Me To You“, a prelude to the Gift Raps album that he and Cool Kids’ producer Chuck Inglish collaborated on, which should be nuts as well. Until then, we’ve got 6 new tracks to hold us down until Gift Raps drops. Check out “Ain’t No Love” produced by Million $ Mano and then partake!

NYC!  I suggest you make it out to Santos Party House tomorrow to catch Chip Tha Ripper, Nero, Double O (Kidz In The Hall), Terry Urban, Dot Da Genius and others as they tear it down! Chip is one of my favorite new rappers and he gives a pretty dope show, so I co-sign this completely. There’s only one guy in the Chi I know who’s on his grizzy as much as I am right now, and his name is Davy Greenberg, I.E. the director of this here gem. RUBYHORNET PRESENTS CLOSED SESSIONS VOL. 1

Now this is a stellar project. The good homies at RubyHornet, in conjunction with Chicago-based Soundscape Recordings, brought together producers and artists to formulate a great original project. The EP was recorded entirely in Chicago, IL at SoundScape Studios with visiting as well as local artists. Pretty much, when an artist came to Chicago, they brought them to SoundScape, made them comfortable, gave them access to the production catalog and just got out of their way.  The EP features artists such as Bun B, Kidz In The Hall, Emilio Rojas, GLC, Truck North, Big Pooh, Skyzoo, Rhymefest, Chip Tha Ripper, Hollywood Holt, Million $ Mano, U-N-I, Amanda Diva, Tanya Morgan, Curren$y and more.

Yep, heavy hitters. You’re gonna be even more impressed once you indulge. Check out my FAVORITE shit off the project, “Fresh Academy” featuring Kidz In The Hall, Chip The Ripper, Donnis, and Mikkey Halsted.
