NO KNOWS DOPE | AUGUST 20X

Okay so, thus far we have had NKD’s on some str8 up heat to kick start it all, then Dilla, then Beats, then Love , then Stereolab, then Portishead, then we had last months double NKD for Stevie & for this month I had to go with my man Busa Busss!! So many people sleep on Busta Rhymes! I never see him any ANNNNNNNNNNNYBODYS top 10 or top 20 for that matter. I had to dead that by doing a No Knows Busta. 60 pinche tracks! & even THAT was narrowed down. These are just my all time favorite Busta songs of all time. The others will be saved for a sequel somewhere down the road, but for now I think these will suffice. If you’ve always thought like me… then this is FOR YOU! Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Remy Ma, Lil’ Wayne appear together, and not on stage.

NEW YORK – With four hip-hop heavies in the house, any enterprising promoter could have staged a rap concert. But the house was Manhattan Criminal Court, and the rappers — Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule, Lil Wayne and Remy Ma — were there Wednesday on separate cases ranging from assault to weapons possession.

In each case, the rappers were simply given a new court date.

Busta Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was ordered to return Jan. 23 when jury selection will begin for his trial on assault and drunken driving charges.

Rhymes, 35, is accused of kicking a fan, punching a former employee, driving drunk and driving with a suspended license.

Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, was told to come back Dec. 5. The 31-year-old rapper was arrested on weapons charges last July after police stopped his 2004 Maybach — a car that sells for up to $400,000 — and found a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

Lil Wayne, 24, was ordered to reappear in court Feb. 25. The performer, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, was arrested for illegal gun possession after he performed at the same concert in Manhattan as Ja Rule.

Prosecutors say police officers smelled marijuana coming from Lil Wayne’s tour bus, and as they approached, he tossed aside a bag with a loaded .40-caliber handgun.

Grammy-nominated Remy Ma, 26, whose real name is Remy Smith, is charged with assault and witness tampering. She is accused of shooting an acquaintance over money and then trying to intimidate her. She was told to return Dec. 5.

Remy Ma, who has recorded songs with Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne, said she knew all the other rappers who were in court and considered them friends.

New Busta Coming Soon, Before Hell Freezes Over

Before Hell Freezes Over is the eighth studio album from rapper Busta Rhymes. Although it is neither confirmed nor denied, in light of recent concert cancellations, it is probable that the album will be released in late 2007. The album features production from Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Focus, Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, and J Dilla, among others. And also may feature appearances from 50 Cent, DMX, The Game, Spliff Star & Papoose. It has been said that Ja rule might be on the album as guest and they have song called “What this is called”.

Busta said on MTV News that he’ll be working with longtime collaborators as well as some people he’s never had the chance to work with before. “You’re gonna get your traditional Busta Rhymes-and-Pharrell collabo,” he said. “My man Focus from the Aftermath crew; Dr. Dre; the late, great J Dilla got work on the album. It’s gonna be great — look forward to the new bang-out.”

There are also rumors that Timbaland or one of his productions will appear on the album, after a video surfaced on YouTube.

During an interview with FLOW 93.5 in Toronto, Kardinal Offishall stated that he will appear on a track which will also feature Akon.
