Our folks over at Lunchbox Theory teamed up with DJ Underdog for the latest installment of their Africa Africa Africa series. If you’re a fan of Afrobeat you will definitely enjoy this. In their own words:

The debut of this mixtape was the spark of a new style of African based sonics and a new movement into the realm of afrobeat. “Its about the progression of the dance”. There is no sonic comparison to these mixes. There are so many elements fused between the notes. This release signifies the next step in the evolution. BLITZ THE AMBASSADOR-LIVE TEASER

I first saw Ghanaian-born rapper Blitz the Ambassador about a year ago at a NYC showcase.  I’m a stickler for live music, and his collective, The Embassy Ensemble,  played an array of big-band style medleys as he spit  FIRE. I meant to post something then, but somehow it escaped my to-do list. So when I peeped this video at 2DB I was reminded why people need to be familiar with Blitz. His album, Stereotype is out now. But I posted one of his mixtapes after the jump to wet the palette.
