B.LEWIS – SCIENCE WITHIN REASON

Beatsmith and overall cool cat Brad Lewis (B.Lewis) just recently dropped his newest album Science Within Reason earlier this month.  His blending of cosmic beats and Soul music is catching ears from coast to coast. Though he’s twenty-two years young this producer’s sound is full and as vibrant as any of his seasoned contemporaries. My friends and I brought him and his homie Insightful out to perform at our first Treatment function. Shit was bonkers. And they just got back from rippin’ it up at SXSW. I see nothing but good things in this dude’s future.

DERT x BJORK = NEW SCHITT COMING FOR DAT AZZ!!

Blind I fave, DERT has done it again! If you recall his last beat tape Dert Floyd – The Westside Of The Moon (inspired by Pink Floyd) then you will NOT be disappointed with his latest beat tape installment entitled Talk Strange (inspired by Bjork). Remember RZA’s line about …”talk strange like Bjork” ? well… yeah… there’s the title! For those who are familiar with Bjork & those who produce, You know how it’s not the easiest task of chopping up some Bjork or let alone doing it justice. Dert is able to do just that and more on this project. $ & I have been blessed to hear this project prior to it’s scheduled release for New Years Day (Janurary 1st 2009)

I am blessed. Blessed to be friends with some of the illest MoFo’s in the beat game. From West Covina’s finest DERT, toThe Dirty District/L.A. transplant House Shoes, to my My good friend here Teeko of 4OneFunk (ode to the 415 area). Teeko is a musical gangsta with imaginative ingenuity that boggles my toggles every time he plays me some new schitt. He believes in the build up of a track as opposed to the avereage mother fucker who just loops some schitt and calls it a day. The following is a track that I have been beggin him for since he played it for me months ago. It is from his upcoming solo album (TITLE TBD) & it is my SCHITT!!! I cant put it on this month’s NKD (dropping this Fri…HOLLERATION) due to it being not in its final state (the recording of the album is still in progress), thus, I cant just give you some schitt that aint done/out yet ya dig?
