Last week I flew down to my hometown of Los Angeles to meet with Illa J & his manager/future wifey Stacey (DJ Soulplay). We sat in their lovely home studio & just chopped it up on everything from the NEW album (which comes out today, so go & cop yours after you VOTE!), his brother, his musical influences & Barack Obama (1CE AGAIN GO VOTE!!!)

Today is a historic day, not only in the US but across the globe as our country stands poised to make a significant change from the policies of the G.W. Bush era. Numerous local and state candidates and ballot initiatives here in California offer voters a chance to push further for change, and to stop reactionary propositions like Props 6, 8 and 9 dead in their tracks. Tonite is a night to celebrate!! Our friends at Current TV will have numerous plasma screen TVs set up at 330 Ritch at 5pm, and it will be free to enter from 5pm until 2am. We have the Bay Area’s top DJs donating their time to rock the spot from 9pm onward….
