BLIND I PRESENTS…BLIND I FOR THE WINTER

It’s been a while since we did a Blind I staff compilation. These are always a joy to put together, because  we all take our time hand-picking the music. Only the person who zips it up (in this case it was me) gets to listen to the compilation in its entirety before it gets posted so it remains a mystery for most of the staff until it’s complete. We definitely bring our different flavors and styles to Blind I for the Winter. There are some upbeat songs, but overall it has  a mellow, wintry vibe and you can keep it in heavy rotation through the cold months.  We’d love to hear how you feel about it. BLIND I SAYS GO! FEBRUARY 2009 | $’ BIRTHDAY EDITION

2008 was a great year for the kid. Blind I did it’s thing, I learned a lot from both good and fucking horrible situations, and I came out on the other side of the fire battle-tested and ready to step into 2009 with a new outlook and a specific set of skills….skills that make people like me a nightmare for people like you! Shouts to Liam Neeson. Anyway, I stepped up my game and found that it’s only appropriate, since I turn 23 today, to put together this month’s Blind I Says Go! compilation with 23 of the most tranquilizing joints I could fit onto one mix to help me focus! Yes, I did this one with a purely selfish intent, but honestly it ended up being one of the best compilations I’ve ever done.  Sometimes you have to ditch the “new & hot” inclusions in order to maintain the ambiance of a mix. Where else do you get attention to detail like that? If you enjoyed the Backstroke Series or $ Is Feeling Some Kinda Way, this one might top em all. Tracklisting after the jump….Partake!

Amy Winehouse and her drug addict husband Blake Fielder-Civil are in grave danger of emulating tragic stars, Sid Vicious and his girlfriend Nancy Spungen, according to the singer’s father-in-law. Giles Civil, the step-father of Miss Winehouse’s 25-year-old husband, believes that the couple will kill themselves if they continue to drink excessively and take drugs.
Speaking just days after the couple were pictured bruised, bloodied and battered following a vicious argument in a top London hotel, the well-spoken school head has pleaded with them to get help.
