In celebration of the birthday of Michael Jackson , I decided to repost this .. don’t sleep!!
Our Peoples over at illvibe are always keeping it fresh. Dj lil’ Dave is really putting it down with the BEST MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE MIX HANDS DOWN…Yeah i said it! I’ve heard a lot of MJ mixes and i like “Another part of MJ: Michael Jackson Remakes, Remixes & Re-Edits ” the most. What’s fresh about it is that instead of playing all the obvious classics we all know and love, he pulled together all the remixes, remakes, re-redits, b-sides, and demos he could find. The result is a mix of hiphop, reggae, house, samba, boogie, and of course some soul.

I was juiced in search of the track listing to find out there was another mix he put out in the anniversary of the Late Great King!

Flying Lotus will be releasing an EP called Pattern+Grid World September 20th via Warp Records. Here’s one of the songs from it entitled “Camera Day.” It’s always funny to see the titles of his songs because they are incredibly random. He always experiments and his style tends to shift around but this one reminds me of his earlier stuff, which I prefer. It’s got a nice little bounce to it. I will be looking forward to the EP.

NO KNOWS DOPE | AUGUST 20X

Okay so, thus far we have had NKD’s on some str8 up heat to kick start it all, then Dilla, then Beats, then Love , then Stereolab, then Portishead, then we had last months double NKD for Stevie & for this month I had to go with my man Busa Busss!! So many people sleep on Busta Rhymes! I never see him any ANNNNNNNNNNNYBODYS top 10 or top 20 for that matter. I had to dead that by doing a No Knows Busta. 60 pinche tracks! & even THAT was narrowed down. These are just my all time favorite Busta songs of all time. The others will be saved for a sequel somewhere down the road, but for now I think these will suffice. If you’ve always thought like me… then this is FOR YOU!
