Many of you downloaded the Dilla Jay-Z mash-up Meezy posted by DJ Jimmy Green, which was definitely great stuff.  Bank! also sent us this album that he compiled, mixing  Dilla beats and songs from a variety of Jay-Z’s albums. The names are kind of a hybrid between both artists so check them out.  Special shouts to Bank! for shooting it our way. Keep these mixes coming folks we are enjoying them!     The Allure of Dilla seems to be a lot of peoples favorite so far from the feedback I’ve been getting. I got the beat from an old Dilla beat tape that a friend of mine had. Im not sure if anybody ever actually used it. If anybody knows please let me know. Preciate all the love and the feedback.

    Erik Rico I believe produced that beat actually. NOT Dilla. there was a beat tape that went out that somewhere between file transfers aquirred a few of Erik Rico’s beats @ the end of it. There’s also a really dope song that is like “the love you give is oh so true, thats why im going to live my life, only for you” that song is the schitt! and for years i thought it was Dilla. I have been bamboozled ! but Erik Rico IS super dope & if he is reading this then he needs to get @ me

    YESSSS indeed, back when I was producing ALOT of hip hop and new soul I did this song for a compilation for “Soul People LA” probably around 2000 or so, at the very same time I produced half of Planet Asia’s solo slbum for Interscope records and alof of the beats I made for that got hijacked and labeled as “Dilla” by whoever put this mix tape out, STRAIGHT fags !!!! Anyway, thanks for the recognition here by those that know !
