So pissed I don’t get back from school until the day AFTER…otherwise I’d be right there rockin’ with them.

“Nez & Rio of Fresh Academy will be showcasing how they work in the studio all day on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Nez & Rio, up-and-coming producers and songwriters hailing from the windy city, have worked with the like of Brandon Hines, Janelle Monae, and Naledge from Kidz in the Hall, and a plethora of other artists. “Obama spoke the truth when he said it was time for change,” say Rio, one half of the dynamic production-duo. “Nez and I bring something new to music. We grew up listening to musical giants but we plan to make our history,” proclaims Rio on what music lovers can expect. The event will take place at Leaders, a popular Chicago Streetwear boutique, which is located at 1354 1400 N. Milwaukee, Chicago, IL 60622. All customers that make purchases on Saturday, December 13, 2008 will receive 15 % off of their purchase.
The producers are excited to display their craft for listeners. “Its some new sheriffs in town,” says Nez on his thoughts about the event. “I think people need new style of music. Something fresh! Our music has kind of a genre people can’t put a name on because it’s like a new sound.” The 1st session is from 2-4 pm which includes an Open Mic portion and the 2nd session will begin at 6pm and will end at 8 pm, and will feature Mike 100s of Boardroom Music Group.”
