  1. Aight fuck it…. I’ma speak on this Mack Dimes… I’ma speak on this.

This song sucks. No matter how many versions You make of it… it will suck. The vocalizer needs to die with Lil Wayne, T Pain & DJ Khaled. & Everyone else who is using it for evil. Luda used it & mocked the whole schitt when He did ANNNNNNNNNND made a good song with it AND I HATE THE FUCKIN VOCALIZER!

I see what Kanye is trying to do as far as make some diff o.g. artistic schitt with this song, but in order to truly be different in this day and age, on some new shit? Try singing without the damn computer effects of a vocalizer.
HOW BOUT YOU TRY USING YOUR MUHFUCKIN NATURAL VOICE!!!

I will never be a fan of anything involving this stupid effect.

Stand up. Stand out. Break the trend.

Who has the balls to not be trendy!?

  3. A bit better, still not my favorite….

BTW, to the homie above. That is auto-tune, not a vocoder(vocalizer as you said). And not a fan of anyone who uses it, then you must not like Roger and Zapp…

  5. I fucks with it. Autotune is the shit if you use it right, and I think Ye does it pretty well.

  7. call it what u want. i call it bullshit.

  9. I feel both parties in this. In support of NO’s argument, I am very much so sick of the trendhumping going on with the autotune (yes sir I do know the difference). I was tired of it when T-Pain started to build his career off of it mainly due to the fact that it makes one who was once talentless sound like the lovechild of Keith Sweat and one of the Tron racers. It’s cheating.

BUT also in support of brother $, most things that are used for evil were made with good intentions, and when used for good they produce good shit (please see No $ No Toke…wait a minute…NO $…what a coinkidink)

I think it all boils down to just whether you fuck with the song overall or not, and personally I’m not that big of a fan of it. The groove of it just doesn’t fit me.

And just for kicks, Zap and Roger could play instruments. Well. Which is why they used a Vocoder rather than the autotune. ‘Ye could easily do that as well, seein as that he can also play an instrument (the piano). Maybe he should start rockin with that shit again. I’d be interested to see what he could cook up with that.

    Seacrest, out.

  11. I agree with the homeboy above me. I see Kanye is not trying to appeal to a rap audience, he’s appealing people who like good music. As for the auto-tune/vocoder debate, some people who can’t sing use it badly, whereas Kanye can actually hold a tune…at least in the studio, definitely not live lol. I kinda like “Love Lockdown” and the whole vibe of where he’s trying to go, I just hope he doesn’t give us a whole album of it.

  13. for the pinche record. i do know that “auto-tune” is what they use. on the luda mixtape they have a skit calling it “the vocalizer” & “the robot thingy” so i’m on that schitt when i say “the vocalizer”.
the vocoder is Zapp’s schitt which other people have used prior to Zapp making it a staple (I.E. Earth, Wind & Fire & Herbie Hancock to name a respectable few)

But like my brotha *PBBT! has stated… “it’s cheating!” leave that schitt for the muhfuckaz who cant sing! cuz 10 outta 10 times it’s THOSE muhfuckaz i pay no homage to. It’s only when theres an artist that i respect does it and makes a mockery of what they HAD been doing by giving into the “current trend”. Kanye as talanted as he is (WHO YES, MAY NOT BE NO BRIAN MCKNIGHT BUT CAN FSHOLEY CARRY A TUNE WITHOUT THE HELP OF “the vocalizer”)

& as far as Jaylib doing it, it was on a song that wasnt really a “song” persay. It was like an interlude that never saw the Champion Sound album & ended up on the cutting room floor. PB Wolf decided to throw it on Chrome Dreams & prior to that it was leaked on the net. So it’s not as if they PURPOSELY DID IT FOR EVIL….like T Pain, Lil Wayne, Snoop, G-Unit, Janet Jackson (who can sing btw…the fuck she was thinking i dunno) etc.

TPAIN… i give a fuck about. so whatever.

LIL WAYNE… i also give a fuck about him and dont see how u simple minded muthafuckaz are riding his dick for the wackest “metaphors” and “analogies” & just when i was thinking i needed to stop being a certified hater and give the ugly nigga a chance… he goes and makes not one but a few songs using the “robot thingy”.

    G-UNIT…whatever.

SNOOP… i thought it was a joke @ first. then i saw the video & i was like aight this aint so bad. so thats exempt.

KANYE… i admit on the lollipop remix i was like….i get it. the song itself (o.g.version had that effect thru out it all so i get why Ye would do it too)

but then I hear him 2-3 more other times using that schitt THEN this song comes out. why Ye ? WHY!? You too dope to use that bullshit & you are only pissing your talent away by giving into the trend. What happened to the Kanye that DIDNT follow the average muhfuckaz actions and made his rep on “BEING DIFFERENT & NEW”??

that shit aint diff nor new. it’s tired & played & bullshit & if you like it. then you dont know REAL schitt & can’t tell shit from chocolate.

  14. NO on September 16th, 2008
  15. Live version was wayyy better.. Studio version just gets on my nerves.. Like the nigga said, this nigga Ye has to much talent to be asking T-Pain for advice on Auto Tune. That shit is pretty wack to me.. Idk i miss Heavy Hitters for 4 life type Ye. Fuck.. He might as well jump on a song w/ the Hi Hater nigga. & I’m pretty sure that’s wild life i hear @ the end too.. damn

  17. STOP HATIN YALL…

AND THE WORD IS HES GONNA USE IT ON THE WHOLE ALBUM…

IM BUYIN…AND YOU KNOW YOU WILL TO CUZ KANYE IS A DAMN GENIUS…

  19. LYRICALLY THE SONG IS DOPE…

    ^^You’re buggin out…

Obscure ass lyrics about he and his Fiance’s relationship does not equal dope. Especially when this ninja is talking about “Secret Codes” and “The Danger Zone.” This shit is par, at best.

  21. I agree with g, I prefer the VMA performance. He got the crowd into it with the drums and everything. It was nicely done.
