When the liquor settles in your system and shadows start dancing on the walls in your blurry periphery, who creeps into your mind? Whether it’s fueled by hurt, sexual energy or fondness, everyone has a person lingering in their subconscious that would complete the perfect Champagne Chronic Nightcap. This is the second comp in my Substance Series after XTC, so I’ve included songs about being tipsy, expressing love and admiration, sadness, or simply remind me of a liquor-induced tryst of my own. I’ve listened to a lot of shit from the 70′s lately (i.e. Cocomotion-which has sick congas mid-song if you’re patient enough) so this comp has an old flavor to it.
