The Rocketeers - “Artist From The Start”
We’re gonna start something new around here! Blind I has set itself apart from other music sites by allowing the people to submit joints from acts that THEY think are the next big thing. Having fully embraced this quality, we have decided to hit you guys with the new YAY or NAY category of posts where we introduce acts you may not have seen or heard and let you be the judge. No maybe so’s or things of that nature, just simply is it ILL or is it in need of some work. Hopefully we’ll have some fun with this and also encourage people to submit their music and get a good idea of what the good people with GREAT ears that visit Blind I have to say about it.
First up is the new group hailing from Chicago, IL. that rocks under the name The Rocketeers (Myspace). The group is comprised of lead MC D-Win and producer Johnny Rocket, and their music is inspired by groups such as N.E.R.D., CRS, Outkast, and Gnarls Barkley to name a few. The Rocketeers are currently working on their EP, “Blue Clouds, White Skies“, scheduled for release in ‘09.
