Peep Common’s ”Universal Mind Control” featuring Pharrell.  Neptunes and Common make an eclectic pair on this joint.  I need to marinate on it for a minute. I must say I’ve been pretty thrilled with the surge of Neptunes tracks out there. They’re kind of retreating to their outside the box In Search Of shit.  Yeah!!

“Green Light” is pretty atypical for John Legend but the more I play it the more it grows on me. It’s kind of poppy but I can see it as a sexy summer club joint. Apparently, for the next album John is trying to lighten up his sound. I’m curious about how the Neptunes tracks will turn out.

Well kids, after all of Nas’ shit talking and Kelis’ tacky interjection of her two cents on the red carpet, the chipped-tooth emcee pulled the plug on the controversial album title.  The album will now be untitled.  Can we get a round of boos? What I’ve heard so far has not been that impressive so now that he’s decided to be PC I’m going to need him to bring the heat!

Since January, my Blind I music task has been to come up with themed compilations every month. I’ve pondered heavily which direction to go after Good Morning, Blind I for the Lover In You, Pick A Shore and Foreclosure. I had an idea about pill popping music that was seasoned by NO (what a genius) and the Substance Series was spawned. What would liquor, weed and other hallucinogens be without music? Think of all the drugged out coked out psychedelic tunes that came after an ill session. Or all the sounds that complement that feeling.  Now I’m going to do these with the least amount of self-incrimination possible. I decided to start with XTC. Everyone reacts differently to every substance but X is fueled by sexual top notes and imagery. Warped voices. Slow shit. Electro techno high club songs.

So this man Elzhi has a new solo project out. One word….FIRE!!!!! “We don’t need no water…”
But yea, the name of the project is called Euro Pass which is a Tour CD. From what I’ve heard it isn’t available for purchase yet, but you can find it at you local leak source. Won’t find the leak here, but I will leave you with what is in my opinion “the best track on the album.”
