All you simpletons out there sprinkling lawry’s, old bay seasoning,
and flaming hot Cheeto dust on your popcorn as a shorty could have
been rich had you had some hustle in you.  Mind  you, the number one
brand of popcorn seasoning in America was started out of dorm room at
the University of Michigan with just $7,000 gathered from summer jobs.
Brian Taylor is the founder of Kernel Seasons, LLC and was just like
you and I, except for he just found a way to distribute a product he
liked. Â During his final two years at the University of Michigan,
Brian worked with a team of flavor experts to develop the full line of
14 all-natural popcorn toppings and officially launched the business
after graduating in 2000. During Kernel Seasons first year, they
grossed a half million dollars in sales. Â Not only did he refine his
business during his last two years of underground, he is still running
the company as a full time MBA student at the University of Chicago.
As founder and president, Taylor oversees all aspects of the company,
including product development, operations, sales and marketing.
You would think that a company like Kraft would have already engaged
in a business like this, but this company is proof that pennies add up
and its OK to be a big fish in a small pond since some companies like
Kraft will not engage in a particular industry unless they believe it
will equate to $50 million in sales (according to Mr. Taylor who has
consulted with Kraft affiliates). Â With that being said, I’m about to
start my business that makes designer jeans for knock-kneed people.
Easy!!!!!!!!!
This is not Blind I promoting the product since the Mr. Taylor just
gave me my free samples today, but I thought I’d give the link to the
site for those that wanted to dig a little deeper.
