12|15|06 – Just Got Paid…It’s Friday Night…

Yo. Mr Shabazz here. I have a confession to make. I like a Pretty Ricky song. Hotline. Yeah. I know. Who knew that talentless R&B groups could stumble upon a hit every now and then? Download it here. I digress. I’ve been playing a lot of non-Hip-Hop music lately, mostly consisting of old & new Incubus, the old Strokes album Is This It? (if you haven’t peeped it hip hop heads, you should.) I also got my hands on a copy of an album created by an artist by the name of Regina Spektor. Her music is very fly; kind of a soulful jazzy sound mixed with production you would expect to hear from someone like The Strokes. It’s like 2007-Ramones-mixed with-Sarah Vaughn-sung by a Russian girl-type music. If you mess with new music, check it out. I posted her song Edit on the blog playlist. I got you covered G!

And now to the real reason I made this blog. I have a new love. A new fascination. She caged me with her melodious voice, her very existence. Nah I’m bullshitting. But her name is Keri Hilson and she’s pretty effin’ fun to look at. Not to mention her style is fly. Reminds me of Teedra Moses alot. I’m throwing both her songs on the blog playlist, Come Clean and Happy Juice (produced by Dr. Dre, featuring Snoop and Stat Quo). Ladies will like Come Clean, my dudes will like the picture. Nahmean!

Christmas Eve Update:
Looking for a different spot to throw the jump off. We still wanna make it happen though. Stay tuned.

New Years Eve Update:
Checked out the spot for the first time last night. It is HUGE. Definitely will be a fantastic spot for this year’s festivities. Get fly!
